REQUEST FUNDS
Anyone can receive funds from the ATX Mental Health Fund. There is no means testing. Requests will be fulfilled according to urgency, date submitted, and ability of the fund to fulfill the request. Please note that we can only distribute funds through PayPal at this time.
We request patience as will fulfill requests to the best of our ability. We will strive to maintain transparency about our ability to fulfill requests and progress fulfilling requests. Information about our budget and fulfillment of requests can be found on our Open Collective Website.

The fund was created to help members of the Austin community access mental healthcare. Some examples of potential uses of funds are:
· Individual therapy fees or copays
· Group therapy fees or copays
· Initial psychiatric evaluation fees or copays
· Ongoing psychiatric care fees or copays
· Psychiatric medication fees or copays
· Indigenous healing practices
· Spiritual or religious counseling or guidance
· Coping tools (ex. Fidgets, stress balls, weighted blankets)
· Text or phone therapy
· Psychological testing fees or copays
· Support group fees
This list is by no means exhaustive. We acknowledge that mental healthcare and wellness looks different for every individual person. We will never require that you disclose uncomfortable or traumatic information. We strive to make the fund request form as therapeutic as possible. We trust you to determine your own needs and to use funds in the way that will best help you access care.
